Hey guys! Hope you had a super amazing or at least somewhat amazing weekend! Of course, it's time for a school reality check in the form of new assignments! First of all, I've attached the handout package with the instructions/guidelines, the graphic organizer, as well as the rubric for the rebellion presentation project that you will be presenting on Monday. Second, the Chapters 11-15 response packages for this week's section of the Hunger games! This week may only have 4 days, but the expectation is that you will still read all 5 chapters this week and hand in the finished package on Monday! Last but not least, I am attaching the presentation order so that you are all aware of what order you will be presenting in. Please come to Monday's class ready to go. Presentation 1: Amiya, Nyah, Cailey, Rabeea, Gibson Presentation 2: Kaden W, Charlie, Kate, Caden M, Jacob Presentation 3: Aurora, Emily, Jordyn, Kaiden S, Ethan Presentation 4: Meadow, Natalia, Brooklynn, Kaylynn Presentation 5: Isabella, Mya, Dennis, Mackena, Mapendo Presentation 6: Kya, Peyton, Joshua, Furqan, Zunaira

Not that any of you were away yesterday, but in case you need another copy of the Reasons for Revolution Questionnaire sheet, it's attached below! In addition, I've attached the Fishbowl questions! Remember - these may appear on the mid-unit and unit tests!! Have a great day!! ~Ms. Mackey
Hey ELA 9!
Starting next week, we will be doing a group project! In light of this, our seating will be rearranged around the group makeup! If you would like to have some say in your group, as well as who you will be sitting by for the next while, make sure you fill out the google form, linked below! While I will not guarantee that you will end up with the people you suggest, I will keep it in mind as I am deciding the groups. Fill this form out by tonight, as the changes go into effect TOMORROW! https://forms.gle/X1uLwSa7ekUgMjJTA Have an amazing day!! ~Ms. Mackey Good morning ELA 9! I've attached the map and map criteria which are to be covered during today's class. if you would like access to the slideshow presentation, let me know. Please note that this assignment is due tomorrow (September 25th) at the end of class, or it can be handed in at the beginning of Thursday's class. Looking forward to class today! :) -Ms. Mackey
Hey there Dandelions! Attached to this post is the handout for Chapters 6-10, to be completed by September 30th! Keep in mind that this worksheet is meant to cover all 5 chapters; hence, sections such as 'Chapter Events' should cover each chapter. (5 events total at minimum; maybe more if a chapter is jam-packed with important details) Questions from these worksheet packages will be drawn from to use on your test, so complete it to the very best of your abilities!! I've also attached the notes we went over today on the themes, symbols, and character motivations present in the novel. Again, this is material you will likely see on the test, as well as in future assignments. Have an amazing Monday! And enjoy the low quality meme! ~Ms. Mackey
I've attached the documents for the two handouts during today's class. Please keep in mind that the Token Assignment will be due on Monday September 23rd. The Fishbowl Handout is for you to keep. While you will be using it during Friday's Fishbowl session, some of the questions may also appear on our mid-unit exam. hence, you should keep it for study purposes and print out a new copy if it is misplaced. Thank you all for being amazing! ~Ms. Mackey
Awesome afternoon ELA 9!
I've attached the link to a google doc containing character notes based off of our in class discussions. This will be updated as we continue to read through the story. Please access as needed for assignments! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VC5ckPsTGbKf6N2p7UOW2EOjDlQwdnkoX2FDFPY2CvQ/edit?usp=sharing ~Ms Mackey Good afternoon ELA 9! I've attached the latest assignment to this post -> the packet for The Hunger Games Ch 1-5. This is an assignment that will need to be handed in, so please print out a new copy or request one from myself if you happen to misplace your own. I'll also attach a picture of the brainstorm columns from today's class, as a resource for when we get to our mid-unit and unit tests! It's a bit hard to see (curse the light green marker!!) but hopefully if your tune your brightness a bit it'll work fine! Finally, I'm linking the audiobook playlist for you to access. The link directs you to the Chapter 1 reading, which should translate into the playlist as it continues. While it is a good adaptation and useful to some students, the majority seems to prefer not having sound overlay during their reading. Which is totally fine, but if you are someone who needs the adaptation, come chat with me and we will figure something out! Have a wonderful day! -Ms. Mackey PS. Please add to the spotify playlist, hyperlinked in earlier posts :)
Hey Excellent ELA 9! As always, I've attached the worksheet we used in today's class. Feel free to print it as needed in case you lose your own copy, or want a blank for your own records :) Don't forget to add to the class Spotify, hyperlinked here! I'm excited to see your awesome characters tomorrow! ~Ms. Mackey
Hows it going ELA 9? Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday! Today in class, we're going to do some quick notes on character types before we move on to completing our read and respond of B Yekcam's Dead Air. If you would like an extra point, tell me one fact about the author! I know some of the questions are a bit tough, so a freebie point might be worth it! If you can't find the work, let me know and I can direct you :) Attached to this post are the character notes. Please review them and either copy or print out as needed. They will be incredibly useful for tomorrow's assignment, and into our novel study! See you all in class! ~Ms. Mackey
